Recollections

A monthly recollection is like a mini-retreat. It is a time to stop and step back a little from our daily life, to renew our relationship with God and learn more about how to love others. It is an opportunity to reassess and renew our resolutions, to bring a fresh outlook to our life.

Recollections are two hours in length. They offer reflections led by a priest, a talk on some aspect of living a Christian life, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and time for confessions.

The spiritual and doctrinal activities sponsored by Headford Cultural Group are entrusted to Opus Dei, a part of the Catholic Church. The name is Latin for “Work of God”. Opus Dei’s mission is to spread the Christian message that every person is called to holiness and that every honest work can be sanctified. Spiritually Renewed
I especially like attending monthly recollections. I’m always surprised at how spiritually renewed I feel after listening to the meditations. I leave feeling inspired with a greater resolve to continue my daily struggle against my defects and to be a more loving wife and mother. I have also attended workshops and a series of cultural and philosophical talks at Crestwell Centre which I found fascinating, inspiring and helpful to my development.
